Return of the Long Night
Visor of Sight
Metal bands that wrap around the front of the head to cover the eyes and hook over the ears, these magic items at first seem contradictory, because they are opaque, so the wearer could see nothing. However, as soon as the visor is donned, the metal becomes transparent, so that the visor is almost completely invisible.
Used by the ancient guardians from the time of Yaalc Muul, there are rumoured to be a number of such Visors in existence. These guardians also wore a Bracer of Uniting.
HARP Powers: The wearer can see in the dark as well as in bright daylight, and adds 100 to all RR’s vs. attacks involving light or sight. Once per day, for one hour, the wearer can employ any one of the following spells:
- See Invisible cast at rank 5
- Watervision (CoM p77), cast at rank 5 (base no extensions, 5 PP effectively)
- Fogsight (treat as Watervision, with distance visible is 150´)
In addition the Visors are +3 power point multipliers for any Vision based spells that can be naturally cast by the wielder.
Whilst worn, however, the wielder has an increased chance of being surprised and suffers -15 DB given their peripheral vision is slightly impaired, and a -25 to all visual perception checks
RM Powers: The wearer can see in the dark as well as in bright daylight, and adds 100 to all RR’s vs. attacks involving light or sight. Once per day, for one hour, the wearer can employ any one of the following from the Seer Base True Sight list:
- See Invisible
- Fogsight (RM2/C treat as Watersight, but at 100´/lvl).
In addition the Visors are x3 spell multipliers (RMSS/FRP x2 multiplier) for any Mentalist or Mentalist Hybrid profession.
